‘To the Glory of God and in Memory of Ellen Pearl Lindsay Gardiner. Entered into Immortal Life 1936’.
‘This window was in memory of his wife, erected by W.W. Gardiner, her husband and minister of Greyfriars, and by her brothers and sister. ‘
The Latin quotation is from the twentieth century hymn-
‘Jesus thou joy of loving hearts’ ,‘But what to those who find’
Artist/Designer:
Marjorie Kemp (1885-1975) Kemp was born a daughter of a Minister in Blairgowie. She trained at Glasgow School of Art. She worked extensively with Margaret Chilton from 1922-1962. She produced many works all over Scotland and when Chilton died, Kemp retired. (RM 2010)
