Glasgow: St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Right of Altar
Stanislavs Kostka Window
Window of rectangular design, slightly arched at the top of the window.
This window depicts St. Stanislaus Kostka with a vision of the Virgin Mary and Christ child appearing from heaven. Jesus is reaching for St. Stanislaus who in turn is taking Jesus’ hands. This scene is from a vision which St. Stanislaus had during a fevered illness which encouraged him to become a Jesuit. On the bottom panel there is an Omega symbol above the name plate of St. Stanislaus Kostka.
