The Transfiguration
Window of three lancet lights.
This window depicts the story of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ.
Lancet 1:
This lancet depicts Moses holding the Ten Commandments tablets, with James holding his hands in prayer towards the scene.
Lancet 2:
This lancet depicts Jesus Christ dressed in white robes with a choir of angels holding a banner above him. Below is John looking towards the scene.
Lancet 3:
This lancet depicts Elijah holding a scroll of the Holy Scripture, Peter appears below looking up at the scene.
Inscription:
‘This is my beloved son hear him’ (Matthew 17:1-9)
Dedication:
‘Dedicated to the memory of their parents by the family of the late Robert Gordon, one of this founders of this congregation./ MH ECT RJG until the day dawn MRG AFSA.‘

Ballantine and Gardiner- (Partnership: 1892-1905) This was a successful partnership between Alexander Ballantine (1841-1906) (son of James Ballantine) and Herbert Gardiner ( - ) of Leicester. They were incredibly prolific for their short partnership together.
