Glasgow: St. Columba's Gaelic Church of Scotland, Apse Window
Window of three trefoil headed lights and fourteen traceries: three rounded-lobed trefoils, two daggers and a foiled circular shape.
The three lights depict Jesus, centre, with a cruciform halo, surrounded by small children and two women. Symbols of Catholicism and Christianity are above and below the scene, which include a chalice, a dove, a Chi-rho, an empty cross, and a lamb, amongst others.
The tracery includes a descending dove and a bleeding heart.
Dedication:
The banner spanning the three lights in the lowest panels of the window states: “To the Glory of God and in remembrance of the __ Alexander MacDonald Minister of this church 1929-1954”.
