Mary, Queen of Heaven

Window of rectangular design, slightly arched at the top of the window.

The Assumption of Mary
This window portrays the Virgin Mary being lifted to heaven standing on a crescent moon and surrounded by a crown of stars, both symbols of Mary’s Assumption. There are seven angels surrounding Mary and a large M surround by a garland of flowers, again symbols of Mary.

Inscription:
Text on the scroll reads: “Ave Maria Puris Sima” (translation: Hail Mary, the most pure).

Dedication:
“In loving memory of Mary Jane Macpherson. _________” (the latter portion is obscured).
