St Peter, St Andrew, St James the great, St Thomas, st Matthew and St James.

Window of three lights arranged in two stages, with tracery.

Upper stage:
Lancet 1:
This window depicts St. Peter whose original name was Simon, with a beard, holding at his chest a silver key to unlock the gates of heaven
Lancet 2:
This window depicts St. Andrew with a flowing beard supporting at this right side the Saltire cross on which he was crucified.
Lancet 3:
This window depicts St. James (the Great or Elder) reading a book and holding a staff in his right hand.

Lower stage:
Lancet 1:
This window depicts St. Thomas, an architect holding a set-square.
Lancet 2:
This window depicts St. Matthew with a bald head and a beard holding a book and a bag of money- his equipment as a customs officer.
Lancet 3:
This window depicts St. James (the Less or Younger) with his right hand on his chest and his left hand holding a gnarled long, supposedly the fuller’s club with which he was beaten to death, after being hurled from the walls of Jerusalem, when he was the leader of the early Christian community there.

Firm/Company:
Clayton & Bell- John Richard Clayton (1927-1913) and Alfred Bell (1832-1895) founded a partnership in 1855 based on Regent Street, London. They had both been previously working at the architectural practice of Gilbert Scott. At their peak they employed about 300 artisans. They trained several other well known artists such as Charles E. Kempe and Burlison & Grylls. The prolific company closed in 1993.
