The Diamond Jubilee Window

Window of one rectangular light arranged with two intersecting diamonds, which create a third in the centre.

This window depicts traditional and representative symbols related to the life and reign of H.M. The Queen and Prince Philip. The left hand diamond represents HRH Prince Philip and the right hand diamond represents H.M. The Queen. The central diamond represents their four children and eight grandchildren. Also included are Architectural elements of Edinburgh relating to The New Club. This window is located internally on a stair landing.

The window was commissioned and dedicated by The New Club in honour of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Year in 2012 and to mark the Diamond Jubilee of HRH The Prince Philip's 60 years as Patron of the New Club.

The window was unveiled by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, also the Patron of the New Club on 1st July 2014.
