St. John the Baptist and Disciples.

Window of three lancet lights with tracery.

This window depicts Saint John the Baptist in the central lancet. In the flanking lancets are two disciples in boats surrounded by angels. The symbols for Alpha and Omega are both depicted as well. The tracery depicts two angels and a descending dove.

This window was brought from the Highland Tolbooth St John's Church after the union of the Churches in 1979. It had been presented by the artist, Sir D.Y. Cameron, to commemorate the ministry of the Highland Tolbooth St John's Church in the Lawnmarket.

Inscription:
Lancet 1:
‘Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the World.’
Lancet 2:
‘Saint John the Baptist’
‘Blessed in every clime or coast. In name of God the Father & Son & Holy Ghost.’
