The Annunciation

Window of one curve headed light.

This window depicts the biblical story of ‘The Annunciation’. The Virgin Mary is hearing the news from an Angel that she will she will have a child.

Dedication:
‘In Memory of Margarat Bannatyne Bryson Daughter of James M. Bryson and Mary Dunn. Born 8th June 1858. Died 27th May 1880.

Artist/Designer:
Nathaniel Bryson (1872-1918) was born in Edinburgh and trained in Stained Glass window design and also exhibited in the RSA. His studio was based in Greenside near Calton Hill in Edinburgh.
